Server Administration Application – Remote Gateway Servers

The Remote Gateway Servers configuration is used by the server to authenticate new user requests from a Gateway Server and to configure Remote Gateway API Keys when invoking Gateway RESTful Web Services.

Client Gateway Server Access Configurations

These gateway configurations contain information relating to client Gateway Server systems. The configured attributes are used for both authenticating incoming requests from the client system, and making REST calls from this system to the client system using Gateway Server RESTful Web Services.

Gateway Authentication

Authentication of client Gateway Server users must be enabled, and this is configured on the User Authentication page using the Use Gateway option.

Remote Gateway Server

The Remote Gateway Server configuration has two sections:

· Client Gateway Server Configuration

· Client Gateway Server IP Whitelist

Client Gateway Server Configuration

Name of the Gateway Server - this name is used when calling a Gateway REST service using the Gateway RESTful Web Services API
Description reference information about the remote gateway server.
API Key that has been generated on the Gateway Server should be copied here. The API key is used for all communication with the Gateway Server and forms the basis of the trust relationship between the servers.
Base URL used by the Gateway RESTful Web Services API. This is the server URL of the Gateway Server system up to and including the web application name as shown in the example above.

Client Gateway Server IP Whitelist

This IP Whitelist is optional and can be used to authorize an incoming request from a client Gateway Server. Usually this entry will be the external facing IP address of the Gateway Server.

Each IP address line can be specified as either:

A single IP address e.g. 127.0.0.1
An IP address containing an * wild card as the last character e.g. 192.168.*
An IP address range e.g. 192.168.0.1|192.168.0.10

IPV6 examples:
